Well Dilma, you are accused of concealing a budget deficit in order to make the economy look better than it actually was. And yes, that’s illegal, and sure, you totally did it. But it’s not really why you’re being impeached.
The real reason you’re being impeached is because everyone is upset about a huge corruption scandal involving the government-run oil company Petrobas, billions of dollars in bribes, and basically every elected official in Brazil. You probably knew that this was going on even if you weren’t really involved, but your enemies in Congress are trying to use it as an opportunity to take you down anyway.
So, what are you going to do about it?
